With approximately two billion adherents, Christianity is the world's most far reaching religion. Its biggest groups are the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox churches and the Protestant churches. Christianity depends on the life, demise and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Its sacred scripture is the Bible. The piece of the Christian Bible known as the New Testament recounts the tale of Jesus.
